CARING FOR MISSISSIPPI'S..
...KIDS IN CRISIS
Providing love and hope to children and families in crisis situations through safe homes, foster care recruitment, and adoption advocacy.
Step One: Recruiting Foster Care Parents ( Foster Care Support Services)
Kids Care will work with DHS to recruit more foster care parents for the state of Mississippi. Recruitment will involve identifying prospective foster care parents and getting them the necessary information to become licensed with the state. (This includes a 15 hour class, an application and a home study.) Along side recruitment is foster care support services. Kids Care will connect foster care parents with support groups and services and establish new services where necessary.
Step Two: Establish a Safe Home
We will work within state regulations and guidelines to establish a home for children in crisis. This Safe house will be available for children who are in a family crisis and need a stable home. Our goal will be to provide a Christ-centered environment for these children to feel safe and at home in.
Step Three: Adoption Advocacy
Kids Care will be a voice for adoption. We will support and encourage people who feel the call of God on their family to adopt. We would like to provide up-to-date and relevant information and avenues for adoption. This will include adoption throught the Department of Human Services as well as private and international adoption.
